When you own the website it’s yours so you don’t have to worry about what kind of content to put up or being able to do certain things because you own it. Some companies may not want you using there brand or logos on your website but there are ways around that. You can make a website with a topic related to your business.

You can design your website in a way where you can monetize the traffic that you get to your website. In many ways, you can monetize your website by adding links, banner or opt-in forms. Some of these things you can’t always do with websites that your company gives you. It’s all about having control over your own platform.

Having your own website gives you more credibility and be people take you more seriously. Having your own website gives you more reach and influence and establishes you as an expert in your industry.

Ads are going to be an essential part of your business if you want to get your business off the ground. You never send traffic and leads directly to your website always send them to a landing page with a call to action first. This is why funnels are so important because it gives your leads instructions because people need you to tell them what you want them to do.

It all depends on what your goals are and what niche you’re in because there are different types of landing pages. You have to make sure the landing page is suitable for your offer. The landing page needs to be simple, clear and right to the point. You don’t want to miss out on an opportunity with your lead because they got distracted because you had too much going on in your landing page.

Some people may feel uncomfortable with being on camera I know I was uncomfortable but you have to get out of your comfort zone and embrace change. I was afraid of being on camera because I was afraid of other people’s thoughts an opinions but once I learn to let that go and not care, it was the best decision ever.

Videos are such great leverage to have because they work for you 24/7. YouTube is really the number one platform when it comes to video, it just is. Video builds trust because people can see you and hear your voice so they know you are a real person. People are searching for answers to there question and YouTube is the second most used search engine.

There is plenty of traffic on YouTube it’s all about positioning yourself in a way that makes you an authority on your niche. Whatever it is that you may be promoting be the expert on that topic and stay consistent with your content on YouTube.

 

Email marketing

Email marketing is a great way to generate leads for your business because it allows you to put out content and communicate on a regular basis with your customers or audience. Once you give value to your subscribers they will look forward to getting your emails.

Email marketing is something that you have control over because you decide what goes out to your audience. There are so many different ways to send out your message. You can put a video in your emails or you can put your blog post from your website into your emails. It’s really up to you to decide which way you want to go with it.

Email marketing should be consistent in order for it to work, people may not look at what you have to offer right away so you have to send out many emails throughout the week. You have to come up with different ways to make every email different from the rest. You need to implement an email sequence for your business where you have a series of emails that all have something to do with each other leading up to your products or message.

For me personally writing a blog post about my business and for my business is one of my favorite things to do online although it does take time to generate leads this way, the organic reach is much better. With blogging, you can make your post long or short in order to get your point across. As long as you’ve got some good quality content, google really likes that so it’s good for SEO purposes.

With a little bit of keyword research and the more blog post that you upload to your blog better chance, you will have of people being able to find you. You don’t have to be a phenomenal writer in fact you can have grade 6 writing level. You want to make your content simple and easy to read, that means your blog post has to be scannable.
